1st-3rd June 2024
This is intended to empower you with the skills to paddle a white water kayak with style. A masterclass in controlling your boat and building skills that will also build greater enjoyment. Ideal for those of you with only a little experience on the river.
21st -23rd June 2024
A technical skills masterclass packed with all the learning you need to lay down the firmest of foundations! The course is strong enough to raise you up. An excellent course for coaches wanting a stack of the "What" to coach. A little solo paddling experience is needed.
15th-19th March 2024
A dedicated white water canoe skills course for canoeists who have a little experience on moving water, but would like to launch a future paddling career without limitations! Would be a great next step from the Make Me a Canoeist Course.
30th - 3rd May 25th -28th Sept
A 4 day course for those wanting to step up from grade 2 to grade 3. The course recognises the need to be skilled in the white water environment, but respects the building of confidence as well. A masterclass course.
15th-18th May
Not just paddling some of the absolute Scottish Classics, but getting all the coaching you need to add style to your open water and white water canoe paddling. Serious foundations for future advanced water paddling, comprehensive package of Psychological Skills.
5th-7th April
A 3 day course for those wanting to step up and enjoy windy conditions on open water. Would you like to see the wind as an opportunity rather than a threat to a great day out? If the answer is yes, then this course will be the key to achieving that.
21st-24th March 2024
The Northern Hit List. The idea is simple, we will paddle the classic Grade 3 rivers of Northern England and the Borders. This is aimed at Grade 2 canoeists who want to broaden their repertoire of rivers and challenges with sections of Grade 3.
15th-18th April
The concept is to paddle some of the classic rivers in Scotland in Canoe. A simple, but quite outrageous idea to take canoes onto rivers generally thought of as the preserve of smaller boats. This is aimed at Grade 2+/3- paddlers who want to broaden their repertoire.
13th-14th July
This is the replacement for the FSRT. Modernised and streamlined to ensure you can make a real difference! This is a one-day course. It is also a pre-requisite for Paddlesport Instructor.
This is the go-to course if you would like to be safer and better able to rescue others in the wind on open water beyond sheltered conditions.2nd 4th February 2024 (with the Open Water Advanced Canoe Leader Training 2nd and 3rd February)5th to 7th April (with Any Way The Wind Blows)
20th and 21st April 2024 6th to 9th June 2024 (Scotland). Combined with White Water Leader Training. 23rd to 27th July 2024 (Scotland). Combined with White Water Canoe Leader Training.

British Canoeing now have an AWWS which includes Canoes. We realise there are those of you who paddle on grade 3(4) in canoes who would like to get some great training in the safety and rescue techniques essential for advanced conditions!

This is the beginning of the coaching process for you.The only pre-requisite is membership, nothing else! You do NOT have to have completed Paddlesport Instructor (Level 1 as was), FSRT or a personal performance award.
